Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026.

Legal Hiring Network (“LHN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an online professional networking, recruiting, and job-search platform focused on the legal profession (the “Service”). We take privacy seriously because the information used in legal recruiting can include professional history, licensure and education information, employment preferences, communications, applications, and private application materials. This Privacy Policy explains, in a clear and comprehensive manner, what personal information LHN collects, where it comes from, how and why we use it, when it may be disclosed, how long it is retained, and the choices and rights available to users.

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the LHN website, LHN professional and employer accounts, LHN job and recruiting tools, and other LHN-controlled online features that link to this Policy. It does not govern an employer’s independent handling of information after you intentionally submit an application to that employer, accept direct outreach, follow an external application link, or otherwise provide information directly to a third party.

Please read this Policy before creating an account or submitting personal information. If you do not agree with our practices, do not submit information through the Service. This Policy is designed around the current LHN platform. If our practices materially change, we will update this Policy and any additional notices or choices required by applicable law.

1. Privacy at a Glance

  • You control your professional visibility. LHN offers Public, Verified Employers Only, and Confidential profile settings, together with opportunity-status controls.
  • Public means public. Information you choose to place on a Public profile may be viewed by anyone, indexed by search engines, copied by visitors, and retained in third-party caches outside LHN’s control.
  • Private application documents receive additional protection. The core LHN platform encrypts uploaded résumés and writing samples before storage and applies access rules based on the visibility setting you select. No security control can eliminate all risk, so users should upload only properly redacted recruiting materials.
  • LHN does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that practice changes, we will update our disclosures and provide legally required choices before implementing the changed practice where required.
  • LHN does not make hiring decisions for employers. Employers remain responsible for their own recruiting and employment decisions. The current core platform does not use automated decision-making technology to make employment decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning users.
  • You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information where applicable. Many profile fields can also be corrected directly from your account dashboard.

2. Notice at Collection

This section provides a concise notice of the categories of personal information LHN collects through the current Service and the principal purposes for which those categories are used. More detail appears throughout this Policy.

Identifiers and Account Information

Examples include name, email address, WordPress/LHN user identifier, account type, authentication information, email-verification status, login/session information, and account-security records.

We use this information to create and authenticate accounts, maintain sessions, communicate with users, prevent abuse, process privacy requests, and protect the Service.

Retention: Generally for the life of the account and thereafter only for a reasonable period needed for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or ordinary backup rotation.

Professional, Employment, and Education Information

Examples include professional status, headline, biography, current title and employer, career history, education, law school, graduation year, bar or federal admissions, practice areas, clerkship history, certifications, languages, experience highlights, preferred locations, work arrangements, employer preferences, desired employment types, willingness to relocate, opportunity status, and compensation preferences.

We use this information to build professional profiles, power legal-talent search, help users identify relevant opportunities, support recruiting, and display information according to the professional’s visibility choices.

Retention: Generally while maintained in an active account and thereafter only as reasonably necessary for the purposes and exceptions described in Section 15.

Employer and Job Information

Examples include employer contact name and work email, organization name, employer type, website/domain, logo, city/state, organization size, organization description, verification status, job descriptions, requirements, work arrangement, employment type, practice area, compensation range, application method, and job status.

We use this information to operate employer accounts, verify organizations, publish eligible jobs, receive applications, and facilitate direct recruiting.

Retention: Generally while the employer account or relevant job/recruiting record remains active and thereafter as reasonably necessary for platform integrity, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backup rotation.

Recruiting Activity, Applications, and Communications

Examples include applications, cover notes, application status, employer outreach, opportunity details, acceptance or rejection of outreach, direct messages, saved jobs, saved candidates, saved searches, reports, moderation records, and associated timestamps.

We use this information to deliver the requested recruiting functionality, maintain conversation and application history, enforce platform rules, prevent abuse, and support users.

Retention: Generally while relevant to the recruiting interaction and thereafter as reasonably necessary for the participants’ records, security, disputes, legal obligations, or permitted de-identification.

User-Uploaded Files and Images

Examples include profile photographs, employer logos, résumés, and writing samples.

We use these files to display profile or employer imagery and, for private documents, to make recruiting materials available only as permitted by the access setting selected by the professional.

Retention: Generally until the user replaces or removes the file, closes the associated account/profile, or a valid deletion request requires removal, subject to temporary backup or legal-preservation limitations.

Internet, Device, and Security Information

Examples can include IP address or a cryptographic value derived from it for abuse prevention, browser/device information available to the web server, request timestamps, referral information, authentication/session cookies, security events, and server or hosting logs.

We use this information to authenticate users, rate-limit abusive activity, secure the Service, diagnose technical problems, maintain availability, and investigate suspected misuse.

Retention: Only for periods reasonably necessary for authentication, security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and ordinary server or backup operations.

Sensitive Personal Information

The Service necessarily processes account login credentials used to secure an account. Passwords are handled through WordPress authentication and are not displayed back to LHN users or employers.

The standard LHN profile is not designed to request Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, medical or health records, precise geolocation, immigration documents, government identification numbers, or information about race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or other highly sensitive personal characteristics.

Users should not place unnecessary sensitive information in profiles, messages, résumés, writing samples, or other uploads.

LHN does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about users for advertising or employment decision-making.

Retention: Account credentials are retained while needed to secure the account; any sensitive information voluntarily included in user content follows the retention period applicable to that content and should be removed by the user when no longer necessary.

Sale and Sharing Status

During the preceding 12 months, LHN has not sold personal information and has not shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).

LHN also does not have actual knowledge that it sells or shares personal information of users under 16.

The categories described in this Notice may be disclosed for ordinary business purposes to service providers or contractors as described in Sections 11 and 19.

This Notice at Collection is part of this full Privacy Policy.

3. Information You Provide to LHN

You provide personal information when you create an account, complete or edit a professional or employer profile, post a job, apply to a job, save a job or candidate, save a search, send or respond to recruiting outreach, exchange messages, upload a profile image or recruiting document, submit a report, contact support, or make a privacy request.

You decide how much optional profile information to provide, subject to fields required to operate the account or feature you choose to use.

Information contained in a résumé, writing sample, biography, message, or other free-text field is determined by the user. Because free-text content can reveal information LHN did not request, users should review and redact documents before uploading them.

Legal professionals are specifically responsible for removing client names, protected personal information, privileged communications, confidential case information, sealed material, nonpublic discovery, and any other information they are not authorized to disclose.

4. Information We Receive Automatically

When you access the Service, the website and its hosting/security environment may automatically receive technical information associated with the request.

The LHN core plugin uses WordPress authentication cookies and session mechanisms to keep authorized users signed in and uses rate-limiting controls to help prevent repeated abusive sign-in, registration, password-reset, verification, messaging, and reporting activity.

Hosting, firewall, email-delivery, backup, or security providers may also create operational logs necessary to deliver and protect the Service.

LHN’s core recruiting plugin does not require targeted-advertising cookies to provide its current functionality.

If LHN later implements nonessential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies that materially change the information collected or the purposes described here, we will update this Policy and implement any consent or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.

5. Information From Other Users and Public Sources

We may receive information about you from another LHN user when, for example, an employer sends you an opportunity, a professional applies to an employer’s job, a user sends a message, or a user submits a report concerning platform conduct.

Administrators may also review publicly available professional or business information—such as bar-directory information, an employer’s public website, organizational domain information, or other public professional records—when evaluating a verification request, investigating suspected misuse, or moderating the Service.

LHN does not currently operate as a consumer reporting agency and does not provide consumer reports, background checks, credit reports, or investigative consumer reports through the core platform.

Employers should not treat an LHN profile or verification badge as a substitute for legally required credentialing, conflicts checks, background screening, reference checks, or other due diligence.

6. How We Use Personal Information

LHN uses personal information only for purposes reasonably related to operating, securing, improving, and administering a legal recruiting platform, including to:

  • create, authenticate, maintain, and secure professional and employer accounts;
  • verify email addresses and support account recovery;
  • display professional, employer, and job information according to applicable account and visibility settings;
  • operate legal-talent search, job search, saved searches, saved jobs, saved candidates, applications, outreach, and messaging;
  • deliver account, security, verification, application, recruiting, moderation, and support communications;
  • review information for professional, student, identity, email, or employer verification when LHN offers the relevant verification status;
  • enforce user-selected access rules for private résumés and writing samples;
  • record profile views and recruiting activity needed for user-facing functionality and platform integrity;
  • detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to spam, scraping, credential attacks, fraudulent registrations, harassment, unauthorized access, misuse, or violations of the Terms of Use;
  • respond to user reports, disputes, complaints, and support inquiries;
  • debug, maintain, audit, measure, and improve Service performance, accessibility, search quality, and usability;
  • protect LHN, users, employers, and others from fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful conduct;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and comply with applicable law, legal process, and valid governmental requests; and
  • evaluate or complete a corporate transaction such as a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not use profile photographs to perform facial recognition or to infer race, ethnicity, health status, or other sensitive characteristics.

We do not use résumés, writing samples, or private messages for third-party targeted advertising.

7. Professional Profile Visibility and Search

LHN is built around user-controlled professional visibility. The visibility setting selected by the professional determines who can ordinarily access profile information through LHN.

Public

The profile may be visible to any visitor and may be eligible for search-engine indexing. Public information can be copied, shared, cached, or indexed by third parties outside LHN’s control.

Verified Employers Only

Detailed profile access is restricted through LHN to eligible verified employer accounts, subject to platform controls.

Confidential

LHN is designed to allow selected qualifications to be discoverable while withholding identity-sensitive profile information from an employer until the professional accepts the employer’s outreach.

The exact information shown before and after acceptance depends on current platform functionality and the information the professional has provided.

Professionals may also choose an opportunity status such as Actively Seeking, Open to Opportunities, or Not Currently Looking.

Visibility and opportunity settings can be changed from the professional dashboard.

Changes affect LHN’s future display of the profile but cannot force a search engine, recipient, browser cache, archive, or other third party to delete copies previously obtained while information was available to them.

8. Applications, Employer Outreach, and Messages

When a professional submits an internal LHN application, information associated with that application is made available to the employer that posted the job.

When a professional accepts employer outreach, LHN may allow the parties to exchange messages and may expand access to profile information or private documents in accordance with the professional’s selected document and confidentiality settings.

Once information has been intentionally disclosed to an employer through an application, accepted outreach, direct message, downloaded recruiting document, or external application process, that employer may independently maintain or use the information for recruiting, employment, legal, compliance, recordkeeping, or other purposes.

LHN does not control an employer’s independent systems or records and is not responsible for an employer’s separate privacy practices. Users should review the employer’s privacy notice when appropriate.

9. Résumés, Writing Samples, and Other Documents

The current core platform permits professionals to upload a résumé and a writing sample in supported document formats.

Private documents are encrypted before storage and are not placed in the ordinary public WordPress media library.

Access is controlled through LHN’s document permissions and the visibility level selected by the professional—for example, private to the professional, available to verified employers with permitted profile access, or available after accepted outreach.

These protections are designed to reduce unauthorized access, not to guarantee confidentiality after an authorized recipient receives a document.

An employer with authorized access may be technically capable of downloading, printing, copying, taking screenshots of, or forwarding information.

Professionals should therefore upload only recruiting materials they are prepared to disclose to the audience allowed by the selected setting.

Legal writing samples must be appropriately sanitized.

Do not upload privileged material, confidential client information, protected health information, Social Security numbers, financial-account information, sealed filings, protected discovery, nonpublic personal information, or work product that you do not have authority to disclose.

Where appropriate, obtain permission and redact names, identifiers, metadata, signatures, exhibits, and other protected content before upload.

10. Verification Information

LHN may display verification indicators for matters such as email status, employer status, identity, bar admission, or student status.

Verification is intended to improve trust and reduce obvious abuse; it is not a warranty, professional certification, legal opinion, or guarantee of a user’s present good standing, competence, identity, employment status, or fitness for a role.

To evaluate verification, LHN may compare information supplied by a user with information available from the user, the organization’s domain or website, public bar or professional directories, law-school or organizational information, or other reasonably reliable sources.

We use verification information to administer the requested badge, prevent fraud, investigate discrepancies, and maintain platform integrity.

11. When We Disclose Personal Information

LHN does not disclose every category of information to every recipient. Disclosure depends on the feature being used, the recipient’s role, and the user’s selected visibility settings.

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • To other LHN users and visitors as directed by you. Examples include displaying a Public profile, showing a restricted profile to an eligible verified employer, sending an application to the employer that posted the job, providing an accepted outreach thread to its participants, or making an authorized private document available to an eligible recipient.
  • To service providers and contractors. We may use providers for website hosting, infrastructure, database operation, email delivery, backup, storage, security, anti-abuse controls, technical support, and other functions necessary to operate the Service. These providers receive information appropriate to the service they perform and are expected to handle it under applicable contractual and legal restrictions.
  • To professional advisers. We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, consultants, or other advisers when reasonably necessary to obtain advice, manage risk, comply with obligations, or establish or defend legal claims.
  • For legal, safety, and integrity reasons. We may preserve or disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process; is necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity; or is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of LHN, our users, or others.
  • In a business transaction. Information may be disclosed under appropriate safeguards in connection with due diligence, financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or transfer of some or all LHN assets or operations.
  • With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you instruct us to do so or provide legally sufficient consent for a specific disclosure.

12. Sale, Sharing, Targeted Advertising, and Data Brokers

LHN does not currently sell personal information for money or other consideration and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

LHN is not designed to operate as a data broker, and the current core platform is not designed to monetize member information by renting or licensing member lists to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Because LHN does not currently engage in sale or sharing as described above, the Service does not currently provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link.

If LHN begins a practice that constitutes a sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising disclosure under an applicable privacy law, we will update this Policy and implement the required notice and opt-out mechanism before or when legally required.

13. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The current LHN core platform uses or relies on cookies and similar session mechanisms that are necessary for account authentication, security, and ordinary WordPress functionality.

For example, authentication cookies allow a signed-in user to remain signed in as the user navigates the site.

Security and hosting infrastructure may also use cookies or technical identifiers to protect the Service, balance traffic, or prevent abuse.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but blocking cookies required for authentication can prevent account features from functioning correctly.

If LHN later introduces nonessential analytics, personalization, or advertising technologies, we will update this section and provide any legally required consent or opt-out controls.

14. Data Security

LHN uses administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect personal information in light of the nature of the Service and the information processed.

Current platform controls include WordPress authentication and capability checks, nonce/session protections for sensitive actions, input validation and output escaping, role-based access restrictions, employer-verification controls, rate limits for selected abuse-prone actions, restricted private-document storage, document encryption before storage, and access checks before protected document downloads.

No website, server, database, network, transmission, encryption method, or security control can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for choosing a strong, unique password, protecting account access, keeping their email account secure, signing out of shared devices, and promptly notifying LHN if they believe their account or information has been compromised.

If a security incident triggers a legal notification obligation, LHN will provide notice as required by applicable law.

15. Data Minimization and Retention

LHN’s policy is to collect and retain information only for reasonably necessary and proportionate purposes associated with providing and protecting the Service.

We do not intend to retain personal information indefinitely merely because storage is available.

The retention period for a particular record depends on the type of information, the account’s status, the feature involved, user choices, legal obligations, security needs, and whether retention is reasonably necessary to resolve a dispute or protect legal rights.

  • Account and profile information is generally retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for account administration, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or restoration from ordinary backups.
  • Professional history, education, preferences, and employer profile information is generally retained while the user maintains it in an active account, unless earlier deletion is requested and required.
  • Applications, outreach, and messages may be retained while relevant to the participants’ recruiting activity and thereafter as reasonably necessary for platform integrity, dispute handling, legal compliance, or enforcement of the Terms. A valid deletion request may result in deletion or de-identification where required, subject to lawful exceptions and the rights of other participants.
  • Private résumés and writing samples are intended to remain until the professional replaces or removes them, the associated profile is removed, or deletion is otherwise required, subject to temporary backup or legal-preservation limitations.
  • Security, authentication, and abuse-prevention records are retained for periods reasonably necessary to detect misuse, investigate incidents, maintain system integrity, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Backup copies may persist temporarily after information is removed from active systems and are ordinarily overwritten or deleted through normal backup rotation. Backup information is not intended for ordinary business use after deletion and may be restored only for disaster recovery, security, or other legitimate operational needs.

We may retain information longer when required by law, court order, litigation hold, fraud-prevention need, contractual obligation, or another lawful exception.

When continued retention is no longer reasonably necessary, information may be deleted, anonymized, or de-identified consistent with applicable law and operational limitations.

16. Your Account Choices

  • Edit your information. Account holders can correct many professional or employer profile fields directly through the dashboard.
  • Change professional visibility. Professionals can change the privacy mode applied to their profile.
  • Change opportunity status. Professionals can update whether they are actively seeking, open to opportunities, or not currently looking.
  • Control private-document access. Professionals can select supported document-access settings and can remove uploaded documents from the profile editor.
  • Control recruiting interactions. Professionals can accept or reject employer outreach and may use available blocking or reporting tools where provided.
  • Contact LHN. Users may contact us to request assistance with information that cannot be corrected through the dashboard.

17. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, the nature and scale of LHN’s operations, and whether a particular privacy law applies to LHN or the information at issue, you may have rights concerning personal information.

Those rights may include the right to:

  • confirm whether personal information is being processed;
  • access personal information;
  • obtain a portable copy;
  • correct inaccuracies;
  • request deletion;
  • opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
  • limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and
  • receive equal service without unlawful retaliation or discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

These rights are not absolute.

Applicable law may permit or require us to deny or limit a request, including where information must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, regulatory obligations, the rights of another person, or another statutory exception.

We will explain a denial when required.

18. How to Submit a Privacy Request

To submit a privacy request, email support@legalhiringnetwork.com with the subject line Privacy Request.

Please identify the account email address involved, your state of residence, and the right you wish to exercise.

Do not send a Social Security number, full government identification document, financial-account credential, or other unnecessary sensitive information with the initial request.

We may need to verify that the requester is the account holder or otherwise authorized to make the request.

Verification may include responding from the email address associated with the account, authenticating through an existing account, confirming information already maintained by LHN, or using another reasonable method proportionate to the sensitivity of the request.

We will use verification information only for the verification, security, recordkeeping, and compliance purposes permitted by law.

If you use an authorized agent, the agent should identify the request as an Authorized Agent Privacy Request and provide information reasonably sufficient for LHN to verify the agent’s authority.

We may also contact the individual directly when permitted by law.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

If applicable law gives you a right to appeal a refusal or partial refusal, you may submit an appeal by emailing support@legalhiringnetwork.com with the subject line Privacy Appeal and identifying the prior request.

We will process the appeal within the time required by the law that applies to the request.

19. California Privacy Disclosures

This section supplements the rest of this Policy for California residents when the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”), applies to LHN’s processing.

The categories below use the terminology of California law but describe the same actual platform practices addressed elsewhere in this Policy.

Categories Collected and Sources

  • Identifiers: name, email, account identifiers, online identifiers, IP-derived security identifiers, and related account data. Sources include the user, the user’s device/browser, WordPress/hosting systems, and other users where interaction requires it.
  • Professional or employment-related information: professional status, current and prior roles, employers, practice areas, admissions, credentials, clerkships, professional experience, employment preferences, compensation preferences, applications, and recruiting activity. Sources include the user, employers interacting with the user, and public professional sources used for verification.
  • Education information: schools, law school, degree/field information, graduation year, honors, and related education history supplied by the user.
  • Commercial or service-interaction information: use of saved jobs, saved candidates, saved searches, applications, outreach, messages, and other interactions with LHN services. Sources include the user and the Service.
  • Internet or other electronic-network activity: authentication/session activity, IP or IP-derived security information, request timestamps, security events, and web/server activity made available through operation of the website. Sources include the user’s device/browser and service infrastructure.
  • Geolocation-related information: city/state information intentionally provided by users and, where available to standard web infrastructure, general location that may be inferable from an IP address. The current core platform does not request precise GPS location.
  • Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information: profile photographs, employer logos, uploaded recruiting documents, and electronic messages or other user-generated content.
  • Sensitive personal information: account login credentials used to secure access to an LHN account. LHN does not use account credentials to infer characteristics about users. Other sensitive information may appear only if a user voluntarily places it in free-text content or uploaded material despite LHN’s instruction not to submit unnecessary sensitive information.

Business Purposes

We collect and use these categories for the purposes described in Sections 6 through 10, including account administration, authentication, professional networking, recruiting, job applications, communications, verification, security, fraud prevention, debugging, support, legal compliance, and maintenance and improvement of the Service.

Categories Disclosed for Business Purposes

During the preceding 12 months, LHN has disclosed personal information for business purposes to service providers or contractors as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the Service.

Depending on the service required, those categories may include identifiers, professional/employment information, education information, internet/network activity, recruiting interactions, communications, and user-uploaded content.

Categories of recipients include hosting and infrastructure providers, storage/backup providers, email-delivery providers, security and anti-abuse providers, and technical-support providers.

The business purposes are account administration, hosting, storage, communications delivery, security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, backup, and maintenance of the Service.

Information is also disclosed to other LHN users when the user directs or permits that disclosure through profile visibility, an application, accepted outreach, messaging, or document-access settings.

Sale and Sharing

During the preceding 12 months, LHN has not sold personal information and has not shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

Accordingly, LHN does not identify any category of personal information as sold or shared during that period.

If that changes, LHN will revise this disclosure and provide applicable opt-out rights.

Sensitive Personal Information

LHN uses account credentials and any other sensitive personal information processed by the current core platform only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide requested account, authentication, security, recruiting, storage, verification, support, and legal-compliance functions.

LHN does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics for advertising.

The current practices therefore are not designed to require a separate “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link.

California Rights

Where the CCPA applies, California residents may have the right to:

  • know or access categories and specific pieces of personal information;
  • request deletion;
  • request correction;
  • opt out of sale or sharing if those practices occur;
  • limit certain uses of sensitive personal information if applicable; and
  • receive protection from unlawful retaliation or discriminatory treatment for exercising CCPA rights.

Requests may be submitted using the process in Section 18.

20. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Some privacy laws recognize browser-based universal opt-out mechanisms for covered sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising practices.

Because LHN does not currently engage in those practices through the core Service, receiving such a signal does not presently change a sale/sharing setting.

If LHN later engages in a covered practice, we will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals as required by applicable law.

Web browsers may also transmit “Do Not Track” signals.

There is not a single uniform technical standard that requires every website to respond to a Do Not Track signal in the same way.

The current LHN Service does not alter its essential authentication or security functionality in response to a Do Not Track signal.

This disclosure will be updated if LHN adopts a different Do Not Track practice.

21. Third-Party Websites and External Applications

LHN may link to employer websites, external application systems, bar authorities, law schools, career resources, professional organizations, or other third-party sites.

A link does not make LHN responsible for the third party’s privacy, security, accessibility, hiring, or data-retention practices.

Information you provide directly to a third party is governed by that party’s terms and privacy notice, not this Policy.

22. Children and Minors

LHN is a professional recruiting service intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Users must be at least 18 years old to create an LHN account unless LHN expressly implements a legally compliant exception in the future.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.

If you believe a minor has improperly created an account or submitted information, contact support@legalhiringnetwork.com.

23. International Users

LHN is currently designed primarily for the United States legal employment market and is operated from the United States.

If you access the Service from another jurisdiction, your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States and in other locations where service providers operate.

Privacy laws outside the United States may provide different rights or impose additional obligations.

LHN does not represent that the current Service is configured for unrestricted use in every jurisdiction.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, technology, security practices, vendors, legal requirements, or information practices.

The date at the top identifies the current version.

When a change is material, we will provide any additional notice required by applicable law and may provide notice through the website, account interface, or email.

A material policy update does not, by itself, authorize LHN to use previously collected personal information for a materially different purpose when applicable law requires additional notice or consent.

25. Contact LHN About Privacy

Questions, privacy requests, authorized-agent requests, or privacy appeals may be sent to support@legalhiringnetwork.com.

Please use a descriptive subject line such as Privacy Question, Privacy Request, or Privacy Appeal so the request can be routed appropriately.

This Privacy Policy is part of LHN’s broader privacy and security program. It is intended to describe the Service truthfully and comprehensively; it does not reduce any privacy right that cannot lawfully be waived.
